What Does It Mean to Fully Believe? – Part 1

“We boldly say what we believe, trusting God to care for us, just as the psalm writer did when he said, I believe and therefore I speak.”
We are to walk and operate fully in the realm of faith. And as you believe with your heart you will be tested. This is when you take the Word and launch your counter attack. Now, let’s consider the following scripture; Luke 4:16 “When he came to the village of Nazareth, his boyhood home, he went as usual to the synagogue on Saturday, and stood up to read the Scriptures.” Psalms 116:10 AMP “I believed (trusted in, relied on, and clung to my God), and therefore have I spoken [even when I said], I am greatly afflicted.”
You are a free moral agent. You can either help or hinder the work of God. No one would knowingly want to hinder the work of God. People do it ignorantly and yet with all sincerity. The study of the Bible is one of the best ways to help with God’s work. One then would not have to act in error. This brings us to the question, “What is the work of God?” Jesus answered the question when He said in John 6:28 -29 “They replied, what should we do to satisfy God? 29 Jesus told them, this is the will of God that you believe in the one He has sent.”
To believe in Christ, as the scripture has said is the greatest work of God, men can do. So to believe means that one becomes a doer of God’s Word. Not only do you hear the Word of God but you put it into practice.
