Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

Willful Decision Making
“And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, so that his soul was vexed unto death; That he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man. And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath shewed me all his heart.” Judges 16v16
Samson was anointed with strength and power to overcome every obstacle that would challenge his strength. He was an anointed nazarite and could not cut his hair as the st…

I Am Anointed to Give
“But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.” 1 John 2v26-27
The anointing destroys every yoke and lifts every burden. This means we may have come into this life with lack and insufficiency, but we do not have to stay there. We hav…

Build Boundaries
“A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls.” Proverbs 25v28
We need to build boundaries around ourselves. We cannot allow everyone in to off-load on us. We cannot get involved in everyone’s affairs. Watch out for those around you …

Anointed for a New Season
“On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.” Acts 2v1
This day in our Calender comes every 4 years. It is not a common occurrence. Well, the day of Pentecost was not an ordinary day in the lives of God’s people. It was a day…

Power for Victory
“In Caesarea there lived a Roman army officer named Cornelius, who was a captain of the Italian Regiment. He was a devout, God-fearing man, as was everyone in his household. He gave generously to the poor and prayed regularly to God. One afternoon about three o’clock, he had a vision in which he saw an angel of God coming toward him. “Cornelius!” the angel said.” Acts 10v1
Cornelius was a Roman army officer, a man who was not in covenant with God. However, he had a heart which was God fearing. It was not his works that got him saved, no, Th…

What is the Anointing?
“He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.” John 14v17
The anointing abides in us, by the power of the Holy Spirit, this anointing lives in us and operates in our lives. It changes us from normal ordinary people into God peop…

Jesus the Anointed One
“The high priest stood up and came forward and asked Jesus, “Have You no answer to give [in response] to what these men are testifying against You?” But Jesus kept silent and gave no answer at all. Again the high priest was questioning Him, and saying to Him, “Are You the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed), the Son of the Blessed One?” Jesus said, “I am; and you will [all] see THE SON OF MAN SEATED [with authority] AT THE RIGHT HAND OF POWER (the Father), and COMING WITH THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN.” Mark 14v60
We who have received Jesus Christ as our Lord and saviour, now have Jesus as our Lord and anointed one, this anointing abides in us. This anointing lives on the inside of…

Purposefully Anointed
“The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the LORD’s favor has come.”” Luke 4v18
We are anointed to do the works of Christ. We have the power to overcome every power of the devil. I am not going about life aimlessly, No, the spirit of the Lord is upon…
