Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Fruit of Love

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law” Galatians 5v22-23

The Rewards of Submitting – Part 2

“You who are] household servants, be submissive to your masters with all [proper] respect, not only to those who are kind and considerate and reasonable, but also to those who are surly (overbearing, unjust, and crooked).” (1 Peter 2:18 – AMP)

As Hannah prayed, the head priest (or pastor) walked in and saw her praying. All Eli saw were her lips moving and nothing coming out, and because he was not a very good leader,…

    Giving is God’s Way

Dear Partner, I am so glad to have the opportunity to write to you. I want to first of all, take this opportunity to thank you and your family for being so diligent and prompt in your giving unto the Lord’s work. You have sown your Tithes and Offerings, Pledges, Building funds, Priestly offerings etc. and now that you have sown seed on the ground, it has no alternate but to break forth and yield a total Blessing in your life. This Blessing comes in many forms, but more than that, it can come into your hands in a way different to what you have anticipated.

The Rewards of Submitting – Part 1

“You who are] household servants, be submissive to your masters with all [proper] respect, not only to those who are kind and considerate and reasonable, but also to those who are surly (overbearing, unjust, and crooked).” (1 Peter 2:18 – AMP)

If you look up the word ‘harsh’ in the Greek, it actually means; Unreasonable Tyrant. There are times when you find yourself under a difficult leader who is hard to understand. He/she may have…

    Submit with Style

“I urge you to pay all deference to such leaders and to enlist under them and be subject to them, as well as to everyone who joins and cooperates [with you] and labors earnestly.” (1 Corinthians 16:16 – AMP)

The word, submit makes some people nervous! The word submit, simply means to have a good attitude. According to the dictionary, one meaning of ‘submit’ is to yield oneself to the authority or will…

    Be Part of the Solution

“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send? And who will go for Us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” (Isaiah 6:8 – AMP)

Make every effort to be part of the solution. For example, when the service starts, there are not enough people to help in children’s church, the car park, security and so forth. Be the…

    You Are His Representative

“How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the [Holy] Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and, in particular, curing all who were harassed and oppressed by [the power of] the devil, for God was with Him.” (Acts 10:38 – AMP)

Jesus has chosen you to be His representative for Him. You must function as God’s partner. Boldly declare that you are the righteousness of God, rest now in that truth. The nature of Righteousness…

    The Lord Supports You

“Who are you to pass judgment on and censure another’s household servant? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he shall stand and be upheld, for the Master (the Lord) is mighty to support him and make him stand.” (Romans 14:4 – AMP)

Satan, your accuser has been utterly defeated and stripped of any and all power over you. You overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of your testimony. You will…

You Are Sustained by God’s Word

“But He replied, It has been written, Man shall not live and be upheld and sustained by bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4 AMP)

The Word of God imparts Faith into your spirit. The Word of God builds love into you. You must walk in love. You have the nature of God in you. Meditate daily on the…

Life in the Kingdom of God – Part 2

“And when they had preached the gospel to that city and made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch, 22 strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.” (Acts 14:21-22 – NKJV)

As Christians we must be people who regularly pray, hear the Word regularly, meditate on the Word, practice the Word and we must operate in God’s Power. The Kingdom of God operates by Faith…

    Winning Life’s Battles – Part 6

“Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.” (Philippians 4:6 – MSG)

    Winning Life’s Battles – Part 5

“Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.” (Philippians 4:6 – MSG)

We should incorporate thanksgiving and praise into our daily lives, not just our time in church on Sunday. God has a purpose for everything and our praise has a deeper meaning. For instance, when…
