Winning Life’s Battles – Part 5

Dr RJ Sing · 1 min read

“Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.”
(Philippians 4:6 – MSG)

We should incorporate thanksgiving and praise into our daily lives, not just our time in church on Sunday. God has a purpose for everything and our praise has a deeper meaning. For instance, when we praise and thank God, we are acknowledging that what He promised will come to pass. In this manner, our praise completes our faith and brings total restoration to us.

The Bible says God inhabits the praises of His people, and where He dwells there is always deliverance. It’s good for us to praise God. He inhabits the praise of His people and shows up to deliver us out of our troubles. Psalm 92:1 AMP “IT IS a good and delightful thing to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises [with musical accompaniment] to Your name, O Most High.”

Let us not cease to pray and rejoice. Through praise and thanksgiving, God keeps us ahead of our enemy. In everything, we should give thanks (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). God knows us intimately. He perfects those things that concern us. Even in the midst of our trials, we should thank Him, not for the trials but for what He has already done and let everything that has breath praise the Lord because we were created to praise Him (Psalm 150:6; Isaiah 43:21).
