Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

Strength in Joy

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” Nehemiah 8v10

March Towards Your Destiny – Part 2

“I'm not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. 13 Friends, don't get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. 14 I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back.” (Philippians 3:12-14 – MSG)

What walls do we face today? We face personal finances, personality conflicts, problems at work, health issues, family problems, anger, resentment, fear etc. The mistake we make is that we take things into our…

March Towards Your Destiny – Part 1

“I'm not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. 13 Friends, don't get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. 14 I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back.” (Philippians 3:12-14 – MSG)

Everyone faces obstacles, barriers or walls in their lives. Barriers means anything serving to obstruct passage or to maintain separation, anything that prevents progress and that hinders you. Walls mean a vertical construction, made…

    You Are Disciplined

“Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man whom You discipline and instruct, O Lord, and teach out of Your law.” (Psalm 94:12 – AMP)

Although the word discipline may create a negative connotation in our minds, it is actually quite a positive principle. In our flesh, we are content to do as we please, say what we want…

    You Are Faithful

“Take [with me] your share of the hardships and suffering [which you are called to endure] as a good (first-class) soldier of Christ Jesus.” (2 Timothy 2:3 – AMP)

‘Success has a successor,’ and Paul told Timothy to impart everything he had learned from him to other ‘reliable men’. (2 Timothy 2:2) Paul used three images of a reliable, faithful person. First, He…

The Mercy of God – Part 7

“All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. 4But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions it is by grace you have been saved.” (Ephesians 2:3-5 – NIV)

Many people are reluctant to show mercy because they don’t understand the difference between trust and forgiveness. Forgiveness is letting go of the past and trust has to do with future behavior. Forgiveness must…

Don’t be reluctant to show mercy. 2 Corinthians 2:7 CEV “When people sin, you should forgive and comfort them, so they won't give up in despair.” We all need mercy, because we all stumble…

Look for Ways to Be a Blessing

“In everything I have pointed out to you [by example] that, by working diligently in this manner, we ought to assist the weak, being mindful of the words of the Lord Jesus, how He Himself said, It is more blessed (makes one happier and more to be envied) to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35 Amp)

Many times we have a tendency to look for ways to be blessed. Rather, we should be looking for ways to be a Blessing. Of Course, you know as I do that the best…
