March Towards Your Destiny – Part 1
Dr RJ Sing · 2 min read
“I'm not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. 13 Friends, don't get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. 14 I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back.”
Everyone faces obstacles, barriers or walls in their lives. Barriers means anything serving to obstruct passage or to maintain separation, anything that prevents progress and that hinders you. Walls mean a vertical construction, made of stone, brick or wood, with the length and height, much greater than its thickness, used to enclose, divide or support or to be in a different situation.
For example, A surfer himself faces obstacles. They are both seen and unseen. He faces obstacles of attitude and mind-set and he has to accept challenges. What helps him? Being able to reflect on his past, being supported by his friends and the enjoyment of being in the water. He surfs the best wave available to him. He also enjoys laying on the board because that is all he can do while waiting for a wave, therefore he makes the best of it and he celebrates success in the end.
Joshua was also faced with a wall/barrier in Joshua 6:12-21. But God gave Joshua a plan, he believed God’s plan and put the plan to work. There is a difference between our plans and God’s plans. So, learn to know the difference and learn to yield yourself to His plans.
