Such a Time as This

And who knows whether you have attained royalty for such a time as this [and for this very purpose]?”

Esther was the queen chosen to reign at that time, she was a Jew but the King was not aware of her nationality. She had not been called in to the court of the King for more than a month. She was well aware of the law in the land that stated that no one was allowed in the court of the king unless summoned. Should a person enter without invitation, they would be put to death. When Mordicai sent a message for Esther to petition the king for the salvation of the Jews because of the decree by Haman to kill all the Jews, she was so fearful because of the law. Her mind was completely captivated by fear. She sent a message to her uncle Mordicai to inform him of what the law was. He was so disappointed with her and reminded her that she was perhaps called to be queen for such a time as this. She had to overcome the fear but she asked for help from the Jews to fast with her. The reason for the request was she knew that in unity, God would command his blessing. Esther overcame her fear and allowed the fear to be removed from her mind. It was then God intervened and the Jews were delivered.

Like Esther, we can be overcome by fear and doubt but we have to go to the father to request his help. In the midst of a challenge do not allow your fear to limit you. Your small thinking or fear can steal your opportunity that God presents to you. The timing of the opportunity is critical, listen and receive the word of the Lord. You were called for such a time as this. Do not let challenges and small thinking limit your successful opportunities.
