Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

First Believe; Then You Will See

“…While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen...” 2 Corinthians 4:18

There is a great significance in the Word “while”, “While we look not at the things which are seen”. It stresses the same lesson that Moses learned in his Test of Endurance. He learned…

    God Awaits Your Prayers

“For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.” Isaiah 30:19

Prayer is an act of drawing near to God. (See Ps. 145:18-19) God is omnipotent. He does not need our prayers. He can do all the things that we want to ask of Him…

Nothing Is Too Hard for Him

“Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee; 27: Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” Jeremiah 32:17, 27

God commanded Jeremiah to buy a piece of land. Through this, God wanted to let him know that He would show His people compassion again: houses, field and vineyards would again be bought in…

    Faith Through Desperate Circumstances

The Psalmist discovers, through his personal experiences, that God is gracious and righteous, that He has full compassion for His children and that He protects the simple hearted. God helped him in his distress…

    Power of Looking at Jesus

“But we all unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the Glory of the Lord, are being transformed with the same image, from Glory to Glory just as by the Spirit in the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 3:18) (KJV)

We must preach about looking at Jesus and being Christ occupied instead of being a lover of one self. Keep your eyes on Jesus. While it may sound impractical, it is the most powerful…

    Letting God Be God

“ 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” 2 Corinthians 5:18-19

God said He will be our God, so why fear about what we going to eat, dress and so on. Is God not bigger than our needs, can He not do exceedingly, abundantly more…

The Lord Will Never Fail You

“Let those who fear the Lord say: “His love endures forever.” When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord; he brought me into a spacious place. The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? The Lord is with me; he is my helper. I look in triumph on my enemies it is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans” Psalm 118:4-8

This is not an idle promise, when God says He will never leave you nor forsake you, He means it. When you are happy He is there, when you are going through trials He…

    God Is Faithful

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. 14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.” Psalm 119:11, 14

When someone promises you something and fails to keep that promise, it leaves you feeling discontent. Unfortunately, there are few people in this world who are completely trustworthy. I am sure that you have…

    A God Who Sees

“And she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?” Genesis 16:13

Hagar was mistreated by Sarai, so she fled. In the desert, God met her at a spring and asked her, “Hagar, where have you come from, and where are you going?” (v.8). When Hagar…

    God’s Thoughts

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9

There is often a vast difference between our expectations and how God arranges for things to turn out. God’s thoughts are higher than our thoughts. His actions differ totally from ours. For this reason,…
