Letting God Be God

Dr RJ Sing · 1 min read

“ 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”
2 Corinthians 5:18-19

God said He will be our God, so why fear about what we going to eat, dress and so on. Is God not bigger than our needs, can He not do exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ask or think. His word says He can, we just need to depend on Him entirely. Storms will come but that is the time we get to cleave unto Him and He takes us through challenges.

I am reminded of the story of the child who grew up impoverished. The mother of the child would boil water as if she was preparing food. Every single day the child would fall asleep with the hope that food is being prepared.

This story is an example of how we should trust God like children and let him be Elshaddai (supreme provider of all things)If you are anxious, tense, or concerned about anything in your life, dear friend, begin now to relax, let go and let God be God. No matter what seems to be missing from your life-be it a much loved person, a special place, an activity of great value or a feeling of well-being – release and let God be God in your life.
