Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

A Fruitful Tree

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“For he will be [nourished] like a tree planted by the waters, That spreads out its roots by the river; And will not fear the heat when it comes; But its leaves will be green and moist. And it will not be anxious and concerned in a year of drought Nor stop bearing fruit” Jeremiah 17v8

    You Are a Praiser

“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, [and] into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, [and] bless his name.” Psalm 100:4

Now, the above verse of scripture is very beautiful indeed. However, the writer of the book of Hebrews also instructs us to offer up a sacrifice of praise to God. “Through Jesus, therefore, let…

    Stand Fast in One Spirit

“Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;” TH” Philippians1:27

This is how you stand before God, the World and the devil. You are to stand fast in one Spirit. Strife and discord opens the door to the devil. Let us look at what…

    Christ’s Gift to You

“But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.” Ephesians 4:7

The apostle Paul spoke about the grace and the gifts of Christ. You are joined to Christ’s body the moment you believe. For example, children of parents have different names, but the moment they…

    Being Confident

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform [it] until the day of Jesus Christ:” Philippians 1:6

As we live this Christian life, God wants us to be clothed, filled and full of Power. When the Holy Spirit set you apart, He began a good work in your life. Know that…

    Finding Your Place

“As a bird that wandereth from her nest, so [is] a man that wandereth from his place.” Proverbs 27:8

One day I recall seeing a bird on the ground. It had fallen out of its nest and the mother was fluttering nearby. This little bird could not fly as yet and was struggling.…

Don’t Allow the Devil to Separate You!

“Behold, how good and how pleasant [it is] for brethren to dwell together in unity!” Psalm 133:1

This Scripture carries such wisdom. A united front is always harder to defeat than a divided one. Don’t allow the devil to separate you from other believers through offence. Stay in the Word and…

    Where Is the Storehouse?

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it].” Malachi 3:10

Let us now consider another important point to establish “where” the Storehouse is in this passage. I want to illustrate this concept from the natural realm. A storehouse is basically two things: First, it…

We Are the Body of Christ

“Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.” 1 Corinthians 12:27

Jesus has ascended to the Father. The only physical body He has on earth is yours. Your body is the authority God has in the earth today. You are the one with the body!…

Jesus, the Head of the Body!

“And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the pre-eminence.” Colossians 1:18

The firstborn among many brethren, *“For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many bretheran.” Romans 8:29.…

    Prostration

“The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,” Revelation 4:10

The Presence of the Lord can become so tangible and real that it overwhelms you. This causes us to fall prostrate at the Lord’s feet and worship Him. Daniel’s experience, When Daniel saw a…

    Dancing in the Spirit

“Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.” Psalm 149:3

Dancing before the Lord is also a most Holy practice. The Word of God also instructs us to praise Him with the timbrel and dance. *Psalms 150:4, “Praise him with the timbrel and dance:…

The Clapping of Hands & Loud Shouting

“To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah. O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.” Psalm 47:1

The world practices the clapping of hands, but in reality, it is a Holy practice. We should practice the clapping of hands during our singing, worship, praise, etc. in adoration and appreciation to our…
