Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

Special Tests for Special Purposes – Part 8

“For you examine us every morning and test us every moment.” Job 7:18 – NLT

There is a prayer at the end of Psalm 19: 12-13 it says, “Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults. Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not…

Special Tests for Special Purposes – Part 7

“For you examine us every morning and test us every moment.” Job 7:18 – NLT

Achievements have importance only in the realm of time. Character is eternal and it determines what we will be through eternity. God will not permit us to be tested beyond what we can bear.…

Special Tests for Special Purposes – Part 6

“For you examine us every morning and test us every moment.” Job 7:18 – NLT

Why is trust so important? Because it reveals our estimate of God’s character. When Adam and Eve yielded to satan’s temptation, their actions spoke louder than any words they might have uttered. They were…

Special Tests for Special Purposes – Part 5

“For you examine us every morning and test us every moment.” Job 7:18 – NLT

Faith leading to obedience is the first stage but the process is not complete until faith had developed into trust. What is the difference between faith and trust? A non-theological answer would be: faith…

Special Tests for Special Purposes – Part 4

“For you examine us every morning and test us every moment.” Job 7:18 – NLT

Our response to chastening should be to repent our response to testing should be to endure but if we persist in trying to endure when we should repent we are guilty of stubbornness and…

Special Tests for Special Purposes – Part 3

“For you examine us every morning and test us every moment.” Job 7:18 – NLT

Special Tests for Special Purposes – Part 2

“For you examine us every morning and test us every moment.” Job 7:18 – NLT

Characteristically, satan’s response was to attribute selfish motives to Job. “He only serves You because of what he gets from You.” In response, God permitted satan to put Job to the test. First He…

Special Tests for Special Purposes – Part 1

“For you examine us every morning and test us every moment.” Job 7:18 – NLT

Isn’t that an amazing revelation that God visits us every morning and tests us every moment? When it first became real to me, I had to ask myself: am I prepared to receive a…

    Every Seed Has Potential

“But this [I say], He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, [so let him give]; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 – KJV

Don’t ever try to calculate your harvest. When you do this, you begin to limit God. God is a big God and your harvest will always be the same way. Remember that every seed…

The Connection Between Sower and Seed

“They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.” Psalm 126:5

Who is a sower? A sower is one who is operating under stewardship. In other words, what you have is not really yours. You are in management for someone else and whatever He tells…

    Boast in the Lord

“But, “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.” 18 For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.” 2 Corinthians 10:17-18 – NIV

The Power of sacrificial giving is revealed in 2 Corinthians 9:6-11. First, God will measure back to you with the same measuring device you use when giving to Him. Second, God is looking for…
