Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

    Thankful to Be a Worshipper

“All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, And all the families of the nations will bow down and worship before You, For the kingship and the kingdom are the LORD’S And He rules over the nations.” Psalm 22v27-28

What an honour to worship the father. The angels and the elders cry out each day, Holy, Holy, Holy. We too can wake each day to glorify the father from our hearts in wors…

    Thankful for the Comforter

“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever— the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you.” John 14v16-17

The holy Spirit is our best friend, we cannot do life without him. Jesus knew this, hence he said to the disciples, it is necessary that I go away. Peter was really offen…

Thankful for the Shoes of Peace

“and having strapped on YOUR FEET THE GOSPEL OF PEACE IN PREPARATION [to face the enemy with firm-footed stability and the readiness produced by the good news].” Ephesians 6v15

The book of Philippians tells us that God will garrison our hearts with peace, a peace that passes all human understanding. Again the bible says in Isaiah that God will k…

Where there is the presence of God, there is fullness of joy and lasting peace. The presence of God transforms our lives and those around us. There is joy unspeakable in …

Honour God with your Prayer Life

“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;” Luke 18v1

Holy Spirit you are the only one that can help me in my prayer life. I am not sure how to pray always but as I yield to you each day and give you time, you develop my pra…

    Selfish Decisions

“Then Jezebel his wife came to him and asked him, “Why is your spirit so troubled that you have not eaten?” And he said to her, “Because I spoke to Naboth the Jezreelite and said to him, ‘Give me your vineyard for money; or if you prefer, I will give you another vineyard for it.’ But he answered, ‘I will not give you my vineyard.’” Jezebel his wife said to him, “Do you now reign over Israel? Get up, eat food, and let your heart rejoice; I will give you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.” So she wrote letters in Ahab’s name and sealed them with his seal, and sent them to the elders and nobles who lived with Naboth in his city. Now in the letters she wrote, “Proclaim a fast and seat Naboth at the head of the people; and seat two worthless and unprincipled men opposite him, and have them testify against him, saying, ‘You cursed God and the king.’ Then take him out and stone him to death.”” 1 Kings 21v5-10

The whole country belonged to King Ahab, however he still desired the land of Naboth. His greed drove him to discontentment. His wife heard about it and had the man kille…

    Wrong Motive

“Then [Salome] the mother of Zebedee’s children [James and John] came up to Jesus with her sons and, kneeling down [in respect], asked a favor of Him. And He said to her, “What do you wish?” She answered Him, “Command that in Your kingdom these two sons of mine may sit [in positions of honor and authority] one on Your right and one on Your left.” But Jesus replied, “You do not realize what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup [of suffering] that I am about to drink?” They answered, “We are able.” He said to them, “You will drink My cup [of suffering]; but to sit on My right and on My left this is not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared by My Father.”” Matthew 20v20-23

The mother of John and James came to Jesus, wanting the best for her sons, her request literally meant that Jesus would choose her sons above the other disciples. Noble t…

“Ye know this, my beloved brethren. But let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: for the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.” James 1v19

    Anointed to Pray

“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops.” James 5v16

There is an anointing on me to teaches me to pray effectively. When I pray, heaven hears me and the angels go to work to go and do what needs to be done in the realm of t…
