Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Fruit of Joy

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling or falling into sin, and to present you unblemished [blameless and faultless] in the presence of His glory with triumphant joy and unspeakable delight, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and power, before all time and now and forever. Amen.” Jude 1v24-25

Principles for Giving No.7 (Part 2)

“Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds”!” Luke 12:22-24

The moment you begin to worry about your finances, you open yourself up for defeat! Satan’s objective is to keep your mind in a constant state of turmoil. He wants you to worry about…

“This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God” Luke 12:21

Jesus warned us to watch out and be on guard against covetousness. This simply means to be greedy and longing for more. This warning is not just for those who have an abundance of…

Principles for Giving No.4 (Part 2)

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” Matthew 6:19-21

Your heart’s desire must not be set upon your worldly possessions and the things of the world. John wrote, “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man…

Principles for Giving No.2 (Part 2)

“Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny. Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything--all she had to live on.” Mark 12:41-44

This teaching is now continued. The difference between her small offering and the offering of the rich was that she gave of everything. It cost her 100% commitment. This story of the poor widow…

Principles for Giving No. 2 (Part 1)

“And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. 42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. 43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: 44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.” Mark 12:41- 44

Principle No. 2: It is not how much you give, but much you have left that God sees; In this commentary scripture, Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were given to…
