Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

    Pray Easy, Not Hard

“If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” John 14:14

You can have your prayers answered immediately. It all depends where you see yourself in standing with God. In Mark 4:35-39, Jesus spoke to the wind and said ‘Peace, be still’, and immediately the…

    Success Is Yours!

“And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper” 2 Chronicles 26:5

We can almost always trace our successes to our seeking of God. When we are humble and childlike, we sense our total dependence upon and hunger for God. Prayer becomes easy and normal because…

    Pray for All Men!

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2:2 For kings, and [for] all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty” 1 Timothy 2:1, 2

Prayer is the foundation of a godly society. Paul admonished us to offer prayers for ‘kings and all those in authority’ (1 Timothy 2:2) When we pray for our rulers, they become softened to…

Unity Is a God Given Tool!

“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Unity is a God-given tool that enables us to attain common goals and to encourage each other during difficult times. Solomon saw that two working together could help each other if one slipped or…

    Stop Complaining!

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. ” Proverbs 18:21

God helped the Reubenites, Gadites and men of Manasseh when they waged war because “they cried out to him during the battle. He answered their prayers, because they trusted in Him” (1 Chronicles 5:20)…

    You Are Surrounded with Favor!

“For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.” Psalm 5:12

The prayer of Jabez (1 Chronicles 4:10) is the cry of deliverance from a life of pain. The name “Jabez” means “grief or sorrow”, and accordingly, from the day of his birth, Jabez endured…

    Prayer Is Our Occupation

“Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;” Colossians 4:2

“Devote yourselves to prayer” (Colossians 4:2). Prayer is our occupation. We are privileged to be engaged in the only thing that will change everything. Prayer is not a halfhearted, wishful endeavor. Prayer must be…

He Always Lives to Intercede for Us!

“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.” Hebrews 7:25

The high Priest was anointed by the pouring of oil upon his head. In Aaron’s case, it was an amount so profuse that it ‘ran down on Aaron’s beard, down upon the collar of…

    Nothing Can Stop You!

“Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 18:19

‘If two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in Heaven.’ (Matthew 18:19). Moses and Aaron formed a divine partnership before Pharaoh.…

Fasting Is Another Way of Feasting!

“Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency” 1 Corinthians 7:5

Fasting is separating yourself from food for a season in order to draw close to God on behalf of others. This practice is easily perverted into a religious activity to be seen of men…

“And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and [in] all judgment” Philippians 1:9

This is one of the best ways you can pray for your Pastor and his wife. Put your Pastors name in the blanks. You can also pray this prayer over yourself and loved ones.…
