Unity Is a God Given Tool!

“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”
Unity is a God-given tool that enables us to attain common goals and to encourage each other during difficult times. Solomon saw that two working together could help each other if one slipped or became cold or was over-powered in an attack (v 10-11). If we are in a spiritual battle, the best thing we can do is to find a prayer partner who will come into instant agreement with us the moment Satan raises his head in a situation.
The opposite of this beautiful agreement is being “yoked together with unbelievers” (2 Corinthians 6:14). When a saint and a sinner try to walk together, they trip each other! “What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols?” (v 16). What a tragedy it is to see a believer lean upon an unbeliever in a marriage or business arrangement, only to watch them both fall when they encounter moral and spiritual pressure!
Pick your close friends, marriage partner and business associates carefully, knowing that God ordained your partnerships to be your protection.
