Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

A Fruitful Tree

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“For he will be [nourished] like a tree planted by the waters, That spreads out its roots by the river; And will not fear the heat when it comes; But its leaves will be green and moist. And it will not be anxious and concerned in a year of drought Nor stop bearing fruit” Jeremiah 17v8

The Word of God is Seed

“The sower soweth the word.” Mark 4:14

In the Gospel of Mark, Jesus gave us the parable of the sower. Here Jesus stated that, “the sower, soweth the Word”. Now if you can sow the Word that means that the Word…

    …But Be Ye Transformed

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God..” Romans 12:2

The words “Be Not Conformed” in the above Scripture literally means, ‘Stop conforming yourselves.’ That means we as Christians need to resist being poured into the mould of ‘present day worldly thinking.’ The world…

The Prevailing Word of God (2)

“So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.” Acts 19:20

When one of the Apostles stood up and spoke, it was the Spoken Word. It was not written down yet. It was the Word of God, spoken to men by men. The Spoken Word…

    Inspiration of the Holy Ghost

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Holy men of God spoke as the Holy Spirit inspired them. Therefore, the Scriptures (the Word of God) came by the Will of God. *“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is…

    In the Beginning…

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...” John 1:1

Jesus is the Word of God and the Word is the Revelation of Jesus Christ. When we study and meditate on God’s Word, it is the same as visiting with Jesus. *“Beloved, now are…

The Importance of the Word of God

“Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:11-12

The Word of God is food to nourish the inward man. That is why it is so vitally important to study and meditate on the scriptures, to go to church and find yourself available,…

Jesus Spoke to the Fig Tree (3)

“(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, [even] God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.” Romans 4:17

God’s way is to believe then to see. That is the way forward for you. Do not let shyness and timidity hold you back from talking your way forward. You are bold as a…

Jesus Spoke to the Fig Tree (2)

“And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.” Mark 11:20

In the morning, they saw the fig tree, which had dried up from the roots. Peter was quite astonished by this whole incident, because he said, “…Master, behold the fig tree which thou cursed…

    Agreeing with God (2)

“[Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord [is] my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” Hebrews 13: 5 – 6

You must agree with God that you are what the Word says you are. You therefore must disagree with your sense realm and the devil. You disagree with what you see and hear in…
