The Word of God is Seed

Dr RJ Sing · 2 min read

“The sower soweth the word.”
Mark 4:14

In the Gospel of Mark, Jesus gave us the parable of the sower. Here Jesus stated that, “*the sower, soweth the Word”. Now if you can sow the Word that means that the Word is seed. When you plant seed, seed has the potential to reproduce. Therefore, if any type of seed enters your heart, it will reproduce after its own kind. Our heart is the soil and the Word is seed. That is why Jesus warned us in the Gospels to take heed as to what you hear, because as the seed enters your heart, it will produce after its own kind. Fear will produce fear, doubt will produce more doubt, and seeds of unbelief will produce more unbelief and so on

Remember that faith will produce more faith, Glory to God! Seeds, whether good or bad just don’t pop into your heart or finds its place there without you knowing. No, they travel there. Now the good thing is that before it travels there, it needs permission. Very much, like when you travel overseas, you apply for a visa. When you do, you are granted one or denied. In a similar fashion these seeds, which seek entrance into your heart need your permission. The door by which they enter is the mind. These seeds, which are words constructed into thoughts, seek entrance into your heart, through your mind. You, as the individual can grant the visa or deny it.

Begin to guard what enters your mind and heart. Ensure that the Word of God gains entrance. Allow only positive thoughts to gain entry. Don’t defect from the truth because of persecution. Do not allow yourself to be offended.
