For the Weapons of Our Warfare Are Not Carnal

“(For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds)”
You must trap negative thoughts that try to enter your mind or those thoughts will trap you. Just as the authorities deal with aliens who try to enter a country illegally, you have to deal with these negative thoughts that try to enter your mind. A Man of God once said that*, “you cannot stop the birds from flying over your head, but you can certainly stop them from nesting there.” Therefore, if you fail to trap a thought, it will trap you. The source of all negative fear based thoughts is the devil. He will continually plant thoughts into your mind
He may plant a thought in your mind that you are going to lose your job, in other words, thoughts of failure. You have to begin to deal with such thought otherwise, you will begin to dwell on it. As you dwell on that thought, and make it yours, it enters your heart. So be careful not to make the devil’s thoughts yours. Once you recognise the source, you have to deal ruthlessly with those fear-based thoughts. Remember; the thoughts of failure come before failure. Any action or behaviour first starts in your mind. It starts with a thought. Though you live in the world, you do not wage war as the world does.
The weapons of your warfare are not carnal but spiritual. You have the very power of Christ to demolish every stronghold that has been raised against the things of God. Never forget that though we walk and live in the flesh (in a body), we do not war (fight) after (according to) the flesh (human standards).
