Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

    Kingdom Leadership – Part 3

“Then the Lord said to Moses, "Summon before me seventy of the leaders of Israel; bring them to the Tabernacle, to stand there with you. I will come down and talk with you there, and I will take of the Spirit which is on you and will put it upon them also; they shall bear the burden of the people along with you, so that you will not have the task alone.” (Numbers 11:16-17)

There are three “R” that we deal with when it comes to people, when they fail to meet expectations: Retrain, Re-position (try to act redemptively) and Re-tire. It takes courage to lead. It’s amazing…

    Kingdom Leadership – Part 2

“Then the Lord said to Moses, "Summon before me seventy of the leaders of Israel; bring them to the Tabernacle, to stand there with you. I will come down and talk with you there, and I will take of the Spirit which is on you and will put it upon them also; they shall bear the burden of the people along with you, so that you will not have the task alone.” (Numbers 11:16-17)

We as leaders have to manage our expectations of people, especially people we call staff. We are familiar with the word disappointment. Disappointment is never based on what you find, rather it is based…

    Kingdom Leadership – Part 1

“Then the Lord said to Moses, "Summon before me seventy of the leaders of Israel; bring them to the Tabernacle, to stand there with you. I will come down and talk with you there, and I will take of the Spirit which is on you and will put it upon them also; they shall bear the burden of the people along with you, so that you will not have the task alone.” (Numbers 11:16-17)

Expectations of people from you as a leader. There are casual relationships. However, there is a vulnerability that goes with that. There are people who desire close space in one’s life and won’t be…

The Rewards of Submitting – Part 2

“You who are] household servants, be submissive to your masters with all [proper] respect, not only to those who are kind and considerate and reasonable, but also to those who are surly (overbearing, unjust, and crooked).” (1 Peter 2:18 – AMP)

As Hannah prayed, the head priest (or pastor) walked in and saw her praying. All Eli saw were her lips moving and nothing coming out, and because he was not a very good leader,…

If you look up the word ‘harsh’ in the Greek, it actually means; Unreasonable Tyrant. There are times when you find yourself under a difficult leader who is hard to understand. He/she may have…

The word, submit makes some people nervous! The word submit, simply means to have a good attitude. According to the dictionary, one meaning of ‘submit’ is to yield oneself to the authority or will…

    Be Part of the Solution

“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send? And who will go for Us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” (Isaiah 6:8 – AMP)

Make every effort to be part of the solution. For example, when the service starts, there are not enough people to help in children’s church, the car park, security and so forth. Be the…
