Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

You Have Authority to Bind and Loose

“For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:20 – NKJV)

We usually apply this scripture to a church service when there are many Christians present. Of course, it can refer to this, but what Jesus really was saying here is wherever there are two…

    Multiplied Prayer Power

“How could one have chased a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the Lord had delivered them up?” (Deuteronomy 32:30 – AMP)

We may be mighty in prayer alone, but we can be mightier with someone joining us. We read in the above verse that one can chase a thousand, but two can put ten thousand…

    God Still Delivers Today

“THE LORD is my Light and my Salvation—whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked, even my enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. 3 Though a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, [even then] in this will I be confident.” (Psalm 27:1-3 – AMP)

Difficulties in life will visit you, irrespective of your spirituality and your love for God. At times you may find yourself in stressful and dangerous situations. These conditions try to weigh you down. This…

Your Life Is Full of Light

“The entrance and unfolding of Your words give light; their unfolding gives understanding (discernment and comprehension) to the simple.” (Psalm 119:130 – AMP)

The first part of the above verse clearly states, “The entrance of thy Words giveth light.” This phrase suggests that when somebody sits under the preaching of the word, light should come. God’s revelation…

    Praise Is a Sacrifice

“Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” (Hebrews 13:15 – NKJV)

Let’s look at a verse from the book of Proverbs that points to the importance of what we say with our mouths. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they…

You Obtain Favor from All Who Look at You

“Now when the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his daughter, to go in to the king, she requested nothing but what Hegai the king’s eunuch, the custodian of the women, advised. And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her.” (Esther 2:15 – NKJV)

Look at what the scripture declares, Esther obtained favor in the sight of all of them that looked upon her. That is so marvelous. I see the same favor that was upon Esther’s life…

    Sweetened Waters

“…and do not be harsh or bitter or resentful toward them.” (Colossians 3:19 – AMP)

Israel came to the waters of Marah, meaning ‘bitterness’ (Exodus 15:23) Distasteful experiences and feelings of being robbed and cheated can leave us bitter. Reflections of the past can pour back into our minds,…

    The Favoured Place

“For His anger is but for a moment, but His favor is for a lifetime or in His favor is life.” (Psalm 30:5 – AMP)

‘Dead…alive…raised…seated’ is the progression of a believer’s favor ‘in Christ’ (Ephesians 2:1, 5, 6) Have you ever known anyone willing to kiss a corpse? You were ‘dead’ and yet God still loved you. While…

    A Floodtide of Refreshing

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10 – NKJV)
