The Favoured Place

“For His anger is but for a moment, but His favor is for a lifetime or in His favor is life.”
‘Dead…alive…raised…seated’ is the progression of a believer’s favor ‘in Christ’ (Ephesians 2:1, 5, 6) Have you ever known anyone willing to kiss a corpse? You were ‘dead’ and yet God still loved you. While you were His enemy! By His Grace He made you ‘alive’, breathing the same life into your spirit that He breathed into Christ’s dead body in the Resurrection.
Finally, He lifted you up into a position so special and honored, it can only be described as the ‘heavenly places’. It appears from the passage in Ephesians 2 that everything God did for Christ physically, He has done for believers spiritually! Your Christian Life will become powerful as you understand your identification with Jesus Christ in His death, resurrection and ascension.
When God looks at you, He sees you not as you were (dead) but exactly as He sees His Son. You are in ‘Christ’ in the same way a tiny baby kangaroo is hidden inside the pouch of its mother. God loves you exactly as He loves Christ! Rise up in your New Nature and Privileges, for ‘by Grace you have been saved’ (Ephesians 2:8)
