Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

    Work in Unity

“And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.” Acts 4:31

Have you heard the saying, ‘Many hands make light work?’ How true it is. Think about how powerful things could be in your church if everyone was heading in the same direction in one…

    You Are a Blesser

“In everything I have pointed out to you [by example] that, by working diligently in this manner, we ought to assist the weak, being mindful of the words of the Lord Jesus, how He Himself said, It is more blessed (makes one happier and more to be envied) to give than to receive” Acts 20:35 Amplified

Many times we have a tendency to look for ways to be blessed. Rather, we should be looking for ways to be a Blessing. Of Course, you know as I do that the best…

We Are Baptized into One Body

“For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether [we be] Jews or Gentiles, whether [we be] bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 12:13

When Christians get together, this group then is the body of Christ. This is an intimate and vital relationship that makes us one. This is a spirit relationship and we must not forget that.…

Principles for Giving No.14 (Part 2)

“On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple area and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves, and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts. And as he taught them, he said, "Is it not written: “'My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations'? But you have made it 'a den of robbers.” Mark 11:15-17

The Temple was established by God to be a Holy place where people come to meet with Him, worship Him, offer their sacrifices and to learn the Scriptures. But corrupt men had turned the…

    To Celebrate

“Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for [this] day [is] holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

It is God’s Will for His children to be joyful. Today, celebrations have become a way of life. Many towns have at least one festival per year. There are arts festivals, cherry festivals and…

    Church Attendance

“Blessed are those who dwell in your house…Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage” Psalm 84:4-5

On Festive occasions the Israelites spared no money or effort to visit the temple in Jerusalem. They travelled great distances and braved dangerous roads to visit the house of the Lord regularly. Our churches…

I Will Not Allow the Devil to Separate Me

“Behold, how good and how pleasant [it is] for brethren to dwell together in unity!” Psalm 133:1

This Scripture carries such wisdom. A united front is always harder to defeat than a divided one. Don’t allow the devil to separate you from other believers through offence. Stay in the Word and…

    Church Commitment (Part3)

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25

In what ways do we demonstrate Commitment to one another: The Bible lists many responsibilities that Christians have one to another. Every believer must measure their body relationships according to these guidelines. There are…

    Church Commitment (Part2)

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25

God uses many means to teach us commitment. There are three main concepts God links with the church to help us understand how we fit in with one another. The Church is a Temple…
