Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

A Fruitful Tree

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“For he will be [nourished] like a tree planted by the waters, That spreads out its roots by the river; And will not fear the heat when it comes; But its leaves will be green and moist. And it will not be anxious and concerned in a year of drought Nor stop bearing fruit” Jeremiah 17v8

Agreeing with God About His Word

“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” Amos 3:3

Many people are sincere and love God. They endeavor to please Him and try to do the best they can. However, we seem to miss God in the simple things. What do I mean…

Agreeing with God About His Power

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12

The writer here draws an interesting parallel between the joints and marrow, which have different functions, yet both are part of a humans bone structure. Thoughts and intents are also two distinct activities, yet…

Agreeing with God About His Words

“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, [they] are spirit, and [they] are life.” John 6:63

God is a God of purpose, plan, design and objectivity. Today we live in a world where every kind of doctrine and theology is being thrown around. However, as Christians we are not to…

“Set a guard, O Lord, before my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips.” (Psalm 141:3)(AMP)

Agreeing with God About Your Speech

You are to live in harmony with your brothers and sisters in Christ. To enjoy a peaceful and satisfied life, you are to remain courteous and respectful to others around you. If you desire…

Agreeing with God About Your Mind

“For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 2:16

The words “Be Not Conformed” in the above Scripture literally means, ‘Stop conforming yourselves.’ That means we as Christians need to resist being poured into the mould of ‘present day worldly thinking.’ The world…

    Faith ‘Says’ the Answer

“Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast [our] profession.” Hebrews 4:14

Real Faith in the Word says that if God says it is so, it’s so. If He says, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ…

Your Life Is Full of Light

“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” Psalm 119:130

The first part of the above verse clearly states, “The entrance of thy Words giveth light.” This phrase suggests that when somebody sits under the preaching of the word, light should come. God’s revelation…

Keep the Word in Your Mouth…

“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, [even] in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach.” Romans 10:8

If you go around saying that you are sick, weak, broke and defeated, then you are in rebellion against the Word of the Lord. If you are not feeling very well, don’t call up…

    Call Things That Are Not…

“(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, [even] God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.” Romans 4:17

In the above verse we read that God calls those things that are not as though they were. If you want to overcome the mountains in your life, this is what you are going…

    Praise Is a Sacrifice

“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of [our] lips giving thanks to his name.” Hebrews 13:15

Let’s look at a verse from the book of Proverbs that points to the importance of what we say with our mouths. “*Death and life [are] in the power of the tongue: and they…
