Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

    God Forgives You

“He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” Psalm 103:9-10, 12

In God’s eyes, every man deserves the death penalty, because of his inherent sinfulness. God is however merciful and loving. He does not hold the wrongs that we commit every day against us. He…

As a believer you are pressing forward in the things of God. Every day is an adventure in faith. With each passing day, you are letting the past be the past. Stop dwelling on…

    Only Believe

In the Gospel of John, we find Jesus being asked a question by the multitude who had been awed by His miracles — “What shall we do, that we may work the works of…

    He Made a Way in!

“In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him” Ephesians 3:12

The Lord is ‘He who made a way through the sea’ (Isaiah 43:16) Who can forget the fantastic moment when God opened the Red Sea and destroyed Israel’s enemies behind them? Just as Great…

    The Favoured Place!

“For his anger [endureth but] a moment; in his favour [is] life” Psalm 30:5

‘Dead…alive…raised…seated’ is the progression of a believers favor ‘in Christ’ (Ephesians 2:1, 5, 6) Have you ever known anyone willing to kiss a corpse? You were ‘dead’ and yet God still loved you. While…

    A Floodtide of Refreshing!

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly” John 10:10

God can do a New Thing! He told Jeremiah that He would make a ‘New Covenant’ in the future that would far surpass the old covenant (Jeremiah 31:31) We are living under that new…

    Godly Sorrow Leads to Repentance!

“For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.” 2 Corinthians 7:10

“Godly sorrow” is often confused with “regret”. Tears and remorse are no true indication that a person has repented of a sin. The real test of repentance is submission, actions that show one has…

    The Truth Sets You Free!

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would “convict the world of guilt in regard to sin” (John 16:8). Conviction comes from confrontation with evidence. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth, and He…

Sinful Living Has a High Cost!

“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” Romans 6:14

    Be Faithful and Fearless!

“Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.” Psalm 45:3

Can there be any doubt that the Psalmist was referring to Jesus. The disciples were ‘astonished’ (Mark 10:32) at the fearless, bold approach Jesus made on the way to Jerusalem as He walked straight…

    Jesus Is Your Guilt Offering!

“And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him.” Mark 2:15

Guilt does not simply go away. The modern method of denying guilt just postpones it until a later day. Repressed and denied guilt will always surface in anger, bitterness, rejection and failure. God knows…
