Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

A Fruitful Tree

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“For he will be [nourished] like a tree planted by the waters, That spreads out its roots by the river; And will not fear the heat when it comes; But its leaves will be green and moist. And it will not be anxious and concerned in a year of drought Nor stop bearing fruit” Jeremiah 17v8

    Grace and the Anointing

“I am writing] to all who are beloved of God in Rome, called to be saints (God’s people) and set apart for a sanctified life, [that is, set apart for God and His purpose]: Grace to you and peace [inner calm and spiritual well-being] from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 1v7

Grace is unmerited favour given to us by God. There is an anointing of Grace on your life. God has called you to a life of ease. The ease of the anointing. We are each gi…

    The Anointing to Forgive

“Everyone who hates (works against) his brother [in Christ] is [at heart] a murderer [by God’s standards]; and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. By this we know [and have come to understand the depth and essence of His precious] love: that He [willingly] laid down His life for us [because He loved us]. And we ought to lay down our lives for the believers.” 1 John 3v15-16

The very thought of this scripture brings me in awe of the spirit of God. A person who hates is considered a murderer. Forgiveness is that important to God. If we do not …

    The Anointing Empowers you

“But you have an anointing from the Holy One [you have been set apart, specially gifted and prepared by the Holy Spirit], and all of you know [the truth because He teaches us, illuminates our minds, and guards us from error].” 1 John 2v20

The children of the old covenant depended on the external anointing of the anointing oil to operate under the power of God, even King David had to be anointed by the Prop…

    Anointing Brings Wisdom

“For the message of the cross is foolishness [absurd and illogical] to those who are perishing and spiritually dead [because they reject it], but to us who are being saved [by God’s grace] it is [the manifestation of] the power of God. For it is written and forever remains written,” 1 Corinthians 1v18-19

    The Anointing for Finances

“But you shall remember [with profound respect] the LORD your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore (solemnly promised) to your fathers, as it is this day.” Deuteronomy 8v18

The word power is used in this scripture just like it is used in the book of acts. This power is the holy Ghost power that lives on the inside of you. This power repels l…

    The Anointing Brings Healing

“But Peter, along with John, stared at him intently and said, “Look at us!” And the man began to pay attention to them, eagerly expecting to receive something from them. But Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have; but what I do have I give to you: In the name (authority, power) of Jesus Christ the Nazarene—[begin now to] walk and go on walking!” Then he seized the man’s right hand with a firm grip and raised him up. And at once his feet and ankles became strong and steady, and with a leap he stood up and began to walk; and he went into the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.” Acts 3v4-8

The Apostle Peter called out to the man to look at them. Why? When he looked, he was making a demand on the anointing on the lives of Peter and John. The anointing and po…

    The Anointing – Lifts Burdens

““Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation]. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST (renewal, blessed quiet) FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy [to bear] and My burden is light.”” Matthew 11v28-29

Jesus, says his burden is light. The anointing lives within us, so the presence of God on the inside of us bring us rest and peace. We have to hand over every burden to J…

    The Anointing – Destroys Yokes

““Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation]. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST (renewal, blessed quiet) FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy [to bear] and My burden is light.”” Matthew 11v28-29

We are called by Jesus to come to him daily. When we come to Jesus, he destroys the yokes in our lives that have burdened us all these years. He wants us to learn from hi…

Relentless in My Pursuit of the Anointing

“So the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked on the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,” Haggai 1v14

The anointing is the power of God for service that fills the heart of every believer. The anointing accompanies and empowers the gifting and callings on your life and pre…
