Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

I Am a Living Stone in a Spiritual House

“You also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 2:5 – NKJV)

You are indeed a living stone. You may be rejected by man but chosen indeed by God and precious to Him. You have been carefully handpicked by God. He has specifically chosen you from…

    Overcoming Offenses

“Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!” (Matthew 18:7 – NKJV)

We all know that there is no such thing as a perfect church. The best thing to do is look for the good things in your church. Be a part of helping, not complaining…

    Church Commitment – Part 3

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:25 – NKJV)

In what ways do we demonstrate Commitment to one another: The Bible lists many responsibilities that Christians have one to another. Every believer must measure their body relationships according to these guidelines. There are…

    Church Commitment – Part 2

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:25 – NKJV)

God uses many means to teach us commitment. There are three main concepts God links with the church to help us understand how we fit in with one another. The Church is a Temple…

    Church Commitment – Part 1

“Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.” (Ephesians 2:19 – NKJV)

The word ‘commitment’ itself does not occur in the King James version of the Bible, but when we understand the meaning of this word, we find that it is a concept that occurs throughout…

The Blessing of the Lord – Part 2

“The blessing of the Lord it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it].” (Proverbs 10:22 – AMP)

We all have a right to be blessed as long as we stay connected to Jesus. We are blessed through Divine connections. Therefore, we should never take lightly those with whom we have covenant…

    Treating One Another Right

“Let brotherly love continue. 2 Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.” (Hebrews 13:1-2 – NKJV)

The World is full of all kinds of people. Just looking at someone’s exterior, you might say, “I don’t see much to get excited about” You could look back in the mirror and perhaps…

I Will Not Allow the Devil to Separate Me

“BEHOLD, HOW good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1 – AMP)

This Scripture carries such wisdom. A united front is always harder to defeat than a divided one. Don’t allow the devil to separate you from other believers through offence. Stay in the Word and…

    God Will Promote You

“For not from the east nor from the west nor from the south come promotion and lifting up. 7 But God is the Judge! He puts down one and lifts up another.” (Psalms 75:6-7 – AMP)

Be open to help in church in whatever position there is available. This is sowing seeds for your future. If you sow seeds of faithfulness you will reap faithful people to help you in…

    Nothing Can Stop You

“Again I tell you, if two of you on earth agree (harmonize together, make a symphony together) about whatever [anything and everything] they may ask, it will come to pass and be done for them by My Father in heaven.” (Matthew 18:19 – AMP)

‘If two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in Heaven.’ (Matthew 18:19). Moses and Aaron formed a Divine partnership before Pharaoh.…

    Prophesying

“I wish you all had the gift of "speaking in tongues," but even more I wish you were all able to prophesy, preaching God's messages, for that is a greater and more useful power than to speak in unknown languages unless, of course, you can tell everyone afterwards what you were saying, so that they can get some good out of it too.” (1 Corinthians 14:5)

This is part of worship and part of the service in a Spirit filled Church. (See 1 Corinthians 14:31) Speaking forth under the unction of the Holy Spirit should be normal. Whether it be…

    The Body of Christ

“For by [means of the personal agency of] one [Holy] Spirit we were all, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free, baptized [and by baptism united together] into one body, and all made to drink of one [Holy] Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 12:13 – AMP)

When Christians get together, this group then is the body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:27 “Now here is what I am trying to say: All of you together are the one body of Christ,…
