Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

I Will Not Allow the Devil to Separate Me

“Behold, how good and how pleasant [it is] for brethren to dwell together in unity!” Psalm 133:1

This Scripture carries such wisdom. A united front is always harder to defeat than a divided one. Don’t allow the devil to separate you from other believers through offence. Stay in the Word and…

    Church Commitment (Part3)

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25

In what ways do we demonstrate Commitment to one another: The Bible lists many responsibilities that Christians have one to another. Every believer must measure their body relationships according to these guidelines. There are…

    Church Commitment (Part2)

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25

God uses many means to teach us commitment. There are three main concepts God links with the church to help us understand how we fit in with one another. The Church is a Temple…

    Church Commitment (Part1)

“Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God” Ephesians 2:19

The word ‘commitment’ itself does not occur in the King James version of the Bible, but when we understand the meaning of this word, we find that it is a concept that occurs throughout…

The Blessing of the Lord (Part2)

“The blessing of the Lord--it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it].” Proverbs 10:22 (AMP)

We all have a right to be blessed as long as we stay connected to Jesus. We are blessed through divine connections. Therefore, we should never take lightly those with whom we have covenant…

    Not Offended!

“That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ” Philippians 1:10

What should we do when two Christians’ convictions differ and each person’s heart is pure? Paul teaches us to defer to our convicted brother in order not to offend him. We are not to…

Unity Is a God Given Tool!

“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Unity is a God-given tool that enables us to attain common goals and to encourage each other during difficult times. Solomon saw that two working together could help each other if one slipped or…

    Separate Yourself!

“But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. ” 1 Corinthians 5:11

“A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough” (1 Corinthians 5:6). Ezra realized that if he tolerated the mixture of Israelites with foreign wives, eventually the holy seed would be extinct and…

    Get Back in Joint!

“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.” Galatians 6:1

“All my bones are out of joint” (Psalm 22:14). All of us get “out of joint” occasionally – with our spouses, with the Church, with the Lord. We don’t mean to be that way.…

    The God of Victory!

“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31

God is a God of Victory. The Church is not on the defensive, but has a banner of victory to display. ‘For those who fear you, you have raised a banner to be unfurled…

    Be a Consisitent Giver!

“12 But Moses' hands [were] heavy; and they took a stone, and put [it] under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.17:13 And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.” Ecclesiastics 11:1

You can become a Blessing to your Church and that is in the area of giving. This of course is done in many different ways. When you get involved in being a Blessing to…
