Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

    To Celebrate

“Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for [this] day [is] holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

It is God’s Will for His children to be joyful. Today, celebrations have become a way of life. Many towns have at least one festival per year. There are arts festivals, cherry festivals and…

    The Joy of the Lord

“Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.” Acts 2:28

Children of God know that there is no other place where they experience so much joy as in the Presence of God. We don’t need to wait to experience the joy of God’s presence.…

    Worship That Pleases God

“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.” Mark 12:30 (KJV)

God wants all of you: God doesn’t want a part of your life. He asks for all your heart, all your soul, your entire mind and all your strength. He is not interested in…

    Being Thankful

“We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;.” (1 Thessalonians 1:2-3) (KJV)

Thankfulness means: Gratefulness, warm friendly feelings of gratitude. Thankfulness is being grateful for what we have. It is an attitude of gratitude for learning, loving and being. Appreciate the little things that happen around…

    Spiritual Growth

“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost” Jude 1:20

Public prayer is a vital part of public worship. This is where the Holy Spirit takes hold of yielded vessels and prays through them. As we yield our thoughts and ways, we begin to…

    Glorify God, the Creator

“Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee” Nehemiah 9:6

When we read the story of creation in Genesis 1 and 2, we see the greatness of God in the process of creation. God created the world out of nothing – He spoke and…

    God Is Able

“Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? 32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons? 33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?” Job 38:31-33

When we read scientific reports about the galaxies and the whole universe we realize how small we really are. It is only God who can determine their influence on our times, seasons and weather.…

    God’s Name Is Your Safety

“And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you” Exodus 3:13-14

When Moses wanted to know God’s Name, God revealed Himself as “I am who I am”. This name reflects something of God’s nature. The Hebrew for God’s first name can also be translated as…

    God Is Trustworthy

“Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not thou he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thou hast made all these things” Jeremiah 14:22

In the Bible we often read about idols. Every nation worshipped different gods. Today there are many religions in the world. The New Age Movement and some religions claim that all these different gods…

    You Are God’s Temple

“Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments”.” Psalm 119:73

    God Is Holy

“And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory” Isaiah 6:3

In a vision, the Prophet of Isaiah saw God sitting on His throne. Around this throne were seraphs, each with six wings, and they called out to one another, “Holy, holy, holy is the…

    Our God Is Incomparable

“Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counselor hath taught him? To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?” Isaiah 40:13, 18

Isaiah’s beautiful song shows us exactly how powerful and incomparably great our Creator is. With this song, he wanted to convince Israel that God’s message of redemption is true, that nothing is too difficult…
