Our God Is Incomparable

“Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counselor hath taught him? To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?”
Isaiah’s beautiful song shows us exactly how powerful and incomparably great our Creator is. With this song, he wanted to convince Israel that God’s message of redemption is true, that nothing is too difficult for Him. God not only created everything, but He also maintains His creation every day.
He measures the waters in the hollow of His hand; He marks off the heavens with the breadth of His hand; He weighs the mountains on His scales and the hills in a balance. God the Creator is so great that the nations are like a drop in a bucket to Him, and all the animals in the forests of Lebanon are not enough for burnt offerings to Him. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy and creates the stars one by one. There is nothing we can compare God to.
He has no equal. God also created you and me and He carries us day by day. He calls each of us by name. He loves us so much that He sent His son to die for us. It is because He is so great and mighty that you and I can believe in the salvation He announced without any reservations.
