The Grace of God’s Pre-eminence
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 1 min read

“How great you are, Sovereign LORD! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears”
God is a jealous God. He wants us to worship him only and have no idols or anything beside him in our lives. He is first and the only God we should serve all the days of our lives. He is worthy of all praise and glory. He is pre-eminent, there is no God like him. He is the creator of all things, He is sovereign.
You may say I do not serve any idols, I am a Christian and I follow Jesus. Anything in your life that takes your attention away from God is an idol. If your love for your car or house or even a child takes all of your time and energy, then that is an idol. If you would rather spend your Sunday playing golf or any sport, then that is your idol. It’s not that it is a sin, no it is the time one takes and gives to that particular thing or person that takes your time and attention away from God. Let us all take the time to evaluate how we spend our time and then ask the Holy Spirit to show us what the idols are in our lives. We then repent and serve the Lord with gladness. God loves your worship, worship him.
