Sanctifying Grace
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 1 min read

“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:”
In this grace, this unmerited favour of God, there is a sanctification process. Jesus is our sanctifier. Sanctification is to be set apart to be holy. You are set apart. You are in the world but not of the world. Jesus comes by the Holy Spirit to sanctify you and make you holy.
Sanctification is a process in our lives that we will go through. How long this will take depends on each of us. As we allow the spirit of God to work in us, the process of sanctification takes place. There are things in our lives that are not pleasing to God so he slowly works it out of us so we are free to serve him with gladness. We are holy when we receive Jesus in our lives. However, our mind and soul needs the sanctification so we do not live as the world lives. There is a way of thinking, walking, talking etc. that is not pleasing to God so we go through the process of sanctification. This makes us more and more like Jesus.
