Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

Being Intimate with God, the Father
“And when you draw close to God, God will draw close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and let your hearts be filled with God alone to make them pure and true to him.” James 4:8
We have been called to many things, but the most important, is to have fellowship with Him. In other words, to walk with Him, to talk to Him and discuss things with Him. 2…

Success in Your Home – Part 7
“I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake. 13 I write to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the wicked one. I write to you, little children, because you have known the Father. 14 I have written to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one.” 1 John 2:12-14 – NKJV
In 1 John 1:3 the apostle presents to us God’s invitation to share the eternal fellowship of heaven that which we have seen and heard (the record contained in the gospels) we declare to…

You Are in Charge
“You have put him in charge of everything you made; everything is put under his authority.” Psalm 8:6
Man has to co-operate with God. Most Christians push all the responsibility onto God by declaring or referring to His sovereignty. In other words, ‘God knows all things and if there’s anything to do,…

The Power of Fasting
“Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours. Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: Is it such a fast that I have chosen? A day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head as a bulrush” Isaiah 58:3-5
In Isaiah 58, for the people, fasting was merely an accepted part of religious ritual, the kind of fasting practiced by the Pharisees in Jesus’ day. Instead of real repentance or self-humbling, they continued…

Agreeing with God About Prayer
“For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” Matthew 7:8
Both Jesus (Luke 18:1) and Paul (1 Timothy 2:1) emphasized the importance of prayer, noting that people ought always to pray. Prayer includes asking and getting answers from God. But it is more than…
