Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

A Fruitful Tree

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“For he will be [nourished] like a tree planted by the waters, That spreads out its roots by the river; And will not fear the heat when it comes; But its leaves will be green and moist. And it will not be anxious and concerned in a year of drought Nor stop bearing fruit” Jeremiah 17v8

    Put Your Faith to Work!

“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Matthew 17:20

Your faith is a Spiritual Force and this Force is alive within you. As you activate this faith force and put it into use, it is like a seed planted at the root of…

Your Love Walk Empowers Your Faith Walk!

“For [if we are] in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love.” Galatians 5:6 AMP

If you are not walking in the love of God, then your faith cannot operate. You can pray and sow offerings into your local church, but if your love walk is not working, then…

    You Can Do the Impossible!

“But Jesus beheld [them], and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26

Many believers never see the end of their faith because they don’t understand their covenant rights as the children of God. They believe that the Holy Spirit inspired the writing of the Word of…

    Faith in a Nutshell!

“And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, [if] the prophet had bid thee [do some] great thing, wouldest thou not have done [it]? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?” 2 Kings 5:13

In Naaman we have a striking illustration of the place Faith hold’s in God’s dealing with man. Think first how intense Naaman’s desire was for healing. He would undertake a long journey and humble…

    Add to Your Faith!

“5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 1:6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 1:7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.” 2 Peter 1:5-7

Peter’s ‘spiral of spiritual enrichment’ starts with your personal relationship with God, and gradually equips you to manifest God’s love to the world. It establishes a process that should continue throughout your life, enriching…

    Stand Firm!

“Epaphras, who is [one] of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.” Colossians 4:12

Epaphras’s beautiful prayer is almost hidden amongst Paul’s greetings to the congregation at Colosse. When he bids farewell to the congregation, Paul gives a beautiful testimonial of Epaphras. He conveys Epaphras’s regards to the…

Nothing Is Too Hard for Him!

“Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee; 27: Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” Jeremiah 32:17, 27

God commanded Jeremiah to buy a piece of land. Through this, God wanted to let him know that He would show His people compassion again: houses, field and vineyards would again be bought in…

    Choose Life!

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, [that] I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: 30:20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, [and] that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him… ” Deuteronomy 30:19-20

Deuteronomy 30 is Moses’ farewell sermon to the people of Israel. In his final address, Moses’ concentrates on what is most important. “Now choose life, so that you and your children may live” is…

“Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity” Hebrews 6:1

Milk is the only food a new-born baby can digest, but as the child becomes older, he needs solid food in order to grow. If you want to grow spiritually, you will have to…

    Have Childlike Faith!

“At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.” Matthew 11:25

The salvation that Christ offers cannot be gained by the Wisdom of this World; it requires a simple, childlike willingness to believe. A professor wrote an interesting letter to a daily newspaper in which…

    Faith in Little Things

“10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. 16:11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true [riches]?” Luke 16:10-11

We are often prone to assume that the mundane actions of daily life have no spiritual significance and offer no place for the application of our Faith. But scripture actually teaches the opposite. It…
