Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

God Has Never Abandoned His Dream for You
“He who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love.” (1 John 4:8 – AMP)
God never abandoned His dream for you. God is Love and Love never quits. His love went into action the day Adam and Eve sinned. He found a just and legal way to restore…

Love’s Idea
“For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.” (John 3:16 – AMP)
Your friendship with God is as though no wrong had ever been done. It was a Love’s idea. Now you can understand why Jesus Christ came and died for you. “This is how much…

The Way of Friendship – Part 2
“For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.” (Hebrews 4:15 – AMP)
The Bible says that throughout the earthly life of Christ, He was in every respect tested as we are, yet without committing any sin. Jesus Christ was perfect. He was untouched by the seed…

The Way of Friendship – Part 1
“Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. 3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” 4 But He answered and said, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:1-4 – NKJV)
The judgement you deserved was put on your substitute, in your place, and that judgement can never be imposed on you again. This is the crux of God’s Love in the Bible that we…

Your Link with God
“He who believes in Him [who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him] is not judged [he who trusts in Him never comes up for judgment; for him there is no rejection, no condemnation—he incurs no damnation]; but he who does not believe (cleave to, rely on, trust in Him) is judged already [he has already been convicted and has already received his sentence] because he has not believed in and trusted in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [He is condemned for refusing to let his trust rest in Christ’s name.]” (John 3:18 – AMP)
God’s Love Plan for you, just like His original dream, is based on faith in His integrity, confidence and trust in His Word. His only condition for you is that you simply honour and…

You Are Born of Incorruptible Seed
“For you have a new life. It was not passed on to you from your parents, for the life they gave you will fade away. This new one will last forever, for it comes from Christ, God's ever- living Message to men.” (1 Peter 1:23)
You are Born-Again by the incorruptible seed. The word incorruptible means: honest, straight, upright, everlasting, imperishable and un decaying. You are not born by the will of man. The Bible emphatically says: “All those…

You Are Guarded by God
“That is why I am suffering here in jail, and I am certainly not ashamed of it, for I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that he is able to safely guard all that I have given him until the day of his return.” (2 Timothy 1:12)
You are now free from the fear of death. You are now one with the Creator of the universe. He shared in your humility and fallen nature so that through His death He destroyed…

You Have Been Purchased by God
“For God has bought you with a great price. So, use every part of your body to give glory back to God because he owns it.” (1 Corinthians 6:20)
Now that you have been purchased by God, you now fully belong to Him. Every owner has the responsibility to take care of what belongs to him. Now that God owns you, He has…

You Have Life and Peace in the Spirit
“Following after the Holy Spirit leads to life and peace, but following after the old nature leads to death.” (Romans 8:6)
This is so wonderful to know that God is so near. In fact, He lives on the inside of you, His Temple. God has made your body His Sanctuary. You now live by the…

God Has a Great Purpose for Us
“Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.” (Ephesians 1:4 – NKJV)

What It Means to Have the New Birth
“Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him.” (1 John 5:1 – NKJV)
What does it mean to be Born of God? It is to have God’s life, God’s Truth and His nature in us. It is communion, fellowship and like- mindedness with God. It is through…

God’s Righteousness
“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21 – NKJV)
God made Jesus, who knew no sin, to be sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Jesus. There was an exchange that took place. Jesus was made sin…
