Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

Favor Flows to You from Every Direction!

“But the Lord was with Joseph, and he [though a slave] was a successful and prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all that he did to flourish and succeed in his hand. So Joseph pleased [Potiphar] and found favor in his sight, and he served him. And [his master] made him supervisor over his house and he put all that he had in his charge” Genesis 39:2-4 Amplified

You know the story of Joseph’s life. He was betrayed. His brothers planned to kill him. Life was a constant challenge to him. However his victory was in the Lord, not in his surroundings.…

    In His Favor Is Life!

“Sing to the Lord, O you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, but His favor is for a lifetime or in His favor is life. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” Psalm 30:4-5 Amplified

This is so beautiful. Not only is His Favor for a lifetime but in His Favor is life. You begin to experience favor from people all around you. Even Jesus experienced so much favor…

You Are to Lay Aside Every Weight (Part 2)!

We ended the last devotional by stating that we must run with purpose and not aimlessly. The important words that we used were, endurance, Persistence, & Purpose. The Key to purpose is perspective. The…

    God, the Source of Hope

“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” Romans 15:13

There is little hope to be found in the world these days-even amongst Christians. We complain about the rising inflation rate and the increase of violence. In the process, we lose hope. This should…

    God’s Name Is Your Safety

“And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you” Exodus 3:13-14

When Moses wanted to know God’s Name, God revealed Himself as “I am who I am”. This name reflects something of God’s nature. The Hebrew for God’s first name can also be translated as…

    God Knows You

“To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.” Psalm 139:1-2

Even though God is great and omnipotent. He knows each one of us. He knows absolutely everything about us. He perceives our thoughts from afar, the Psalmist writes. He saw us even before we…

    God Is Great!

“Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me. Where was thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding”.” Job 38:1, 3, 4

Job had dozens of questions that He wanted to ask God. Why did God allow him to suffer? Why was he born at all, if only misery awaited him in the world? Job did…

    God Is Your Shepherd

“He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.” Isaiah 40:11

Many times we see pictures of Shepherds holding little lambs in their arms. As a Shepherd takes care of flock, so does God take care of His family. Many times in life, we feel…

God Takes Care of His Children

The Psalmist urges people to remember God’s miracles and judgments. He assures them that God will keep His covenant with them forever. The Prophet Ezekiel paints a beautiful picture of God as a caring…
