Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

    The Abundant Life

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.” (John 10:11 – NKJV)

Immediately after Jesus said that satan is the enemy, who comes to steal, and to kill and to destroy. Jesus said that He had come to give life more abundantly. Jesus went on to…

    Say It Again

“Inasmuch then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him].” (Hebrews 4:14 – AMP)

I can well remember when I first began to make this kind of testimony. I thought, I wonder where the devil will hit me next. I know of people who will not testify because…

    Communion with the Creator

“May the God of peace Himself make you entirely pure and devoted to God; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept strong and blameless until that day when our Lord Jesus Christ comes back again.” (1 Thessalonians 5:23)

Paul here put together the three elements that make up a complete human personality, listing them in descending order from the highest to the lowest: First, Spirit; Second, Soul; Third, Body. The spirit is…

    The Importance of Communion

“Similarly when supper was ended, He took the cup also, saying, this cup is the new covenant [ratified and established] in My blood. Do this, as often as you drink [it], to call Me [affectionately] to remembrance.” (1 Corinthians 11:25 – AMP)

We have noted that the life is in the blood. (See Leviticus 17:11) If we want the life, we must appropriate the blood. We do that by taking Communion, as well as by the…

    Jesus Bore the Poverty Curse

“NOW ABRAHAM was old, well advanced in years, and the Lord had Blessed Abraham in all things.” (Genesis 24:1 – AMP)

Jesus bore the poverty curse, which is presented in its most absolute form in Deuteronomy 28:48. Some years ago, while I was preaching on the theme of God’s financial provision, I received a revelation…

    You Have His Abundance

“The Blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.” (Proverbs 10:22 – NKJV)

Having poverty means having “hunger…thirst…nakedness...and being in need of everything’ (Deuteronomy 28:48) When exactly did Jesus become poor? He began to become poor the moment He was identified with our sins. From that moment…

    Steps to Acceptance

“For if you forgive people their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” (Matthew 6:14 – AMP)

There are four steps you must take to experience acceptance with God. The first thing is to forgive every person who has rejected you or harmed you in any way. As Jesus instructed us,…

    Enjoying the Blessing

“The blessing of the Lord—it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it].” (Proverbs 10:22 – AMP)

Let’s look at the list of curses in Deuteronomy 28. Read this entire chapter for yourself, considering whether you are enjoying a blessing or enduring a curse. If we are redeemed children of God,…

    Freed from Shame

“The Lord God has opened My ear, and I have not been rebellious or turned backward. 6 I gave My back to the smiters and My cheeks to those who plucked off the hair; I hid not My face from shame and spitting.” (Isaiah 50:5-6 – AMP)

Shame is a cruel and ugly emotion, and it is found even among Christians. It is often the result of sexual abuse or emotional abuse, such as being ridiculed at school. I once read…

    Despising the Shame

“Keep your eyes on Jesus, our leader and instructor. He was willing to die a shameful death on the cross because of the joy He knew would be His afterwards; and now He sits in the place of honor by the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2)

Here is a brief account of what happened after Jesus’ arrest in the garden of Gethsemane. Pontius Pilate had handed Jesus over to the soldiers to take Him out to be executed. Matthew 27:27-31,…

    Jesus Endured Your Rejection

“We love Him, because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19 – AMP)

I believe the primary result of rejection is the inability to receive or communicate love. This point was made by John in the New Testament, when he wrote, “We love Him because He first…

Acceptance and Justification with the Father

“Yet now God declares us "not guilty" of offending Him if we trust in Jesus Christ, Who in His kindness freely takes away our sins.” (Romans 3:24)

To receive God’s provision for rejection, you must grasp two basic facts. First, God did not make a lot of different provisions for each of the various needs of humanity. Instead, He made just…
