Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

I Am an Able Minister of God
“Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.” 2 Corinthians 3:6
Every believer is called to be a Minister, because Jesus called us to preach the Gospel to every creature. You may not be behind a pulpit, but you can share the love of God…

Deliverance to the Captives!
“There be four [things which are] little upon the earth, but they [are] exceeding wise: 25 The ants [are] a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer; 26 The conies [are but] a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks; 27 The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands; 28 The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings' palaces” Proverbs 30:24-28
In Proverbs 30:24-28, the writer tells of four creatures who are ‘small, yet they are extremely wise’. These creatures represent the four aspects of evangelism. The ‘ant’ has a tremendous drive to gather food…

The Power of the Gospel!
“Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and [that] no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost” 1 Corinthians 12:3
‘He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth’ (Psalm 135:7) Truly God does ‘whatever pleases Him’ (Psalm 135:6) This was demonstrated with Elijah’s powerful confrontation with the prophets of Baal (1 Kings…

Overcoming Insults!
“For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me” Romans 15:3
Jesus spent His life bearing the insults of those who insulted God. The couriers of Hezekiah found the same reaction in the tribes of Israel when the couriers presented the truth about the Passover…

Be Faithful!

God Is Building You!
“Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” Psalm 127:1
Solomon had a vision to build the most magnificent temple in history and his success came from the blessing of the Lord. First: “The Lord gave Solomon wisdom” (1 Kings 5:12). He gave him…

God Has Given You a Mantle!
“For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.” Psalm 61:5
Your spiritual inheritance is the most important thing you possess. The daughters of Zelophehad demanded their inheritance (Numbers 27:4) They refused to let any factor stand in their way of possessing what their father…

Invite People to Church!
“And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.” Mark 1:17
Sometimes we overlook this easy way of reaching people. Make an effort to invite people to Church. When they decline, don’t give up. Maybe you have never won someone to the Lord-but if you…
