Study the Word

Paul, in giving instruction to the young man, Timothy who was being appointed as a leader over the church in Corinth, asked of him that he make a study of the word of God. Paul was really saying, Timothy if you want to succeed in this life and in ministry, give place to the word in your life. He was saying to Timothy, my words to you are good, but studying the word is even better. The word will establish and keep you in all of your ways.

Likewise, in our daily lives, as born-again believers, we have to take the time to study the word. We have to be intentional about allowing the word in to our minds and hearts so we become better people. The word of God has the power to change us from the inside out. At first the word will not make sense or even seem boring to read. Stay consistent and be persistent. The enemy will try his best to distract you so the word does not have an abiding place in your heart, but do not give in or give up. Make a quality decision, I am a student of the word. I study the word of God so God can change me and make me a better version of myself. This better version will be a witness to many of the people you will come into contact with in your world and it will make them curious. The curiosity will open a door for you to share Jesus. The word will cause you to be prosperous, soon you will see the evidence of the change.

We, the family of FCI are products of the word of God that has been poured into our lives.
