Knowing God More

“That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead”
Paul was a student of the word from a child. He knew and understood the scriptures. He had an encounter with Jesus on the Damascus Road. He was sharing the word of God with many and even started many churches. Yet the cry of his heart here was, that he would know Jesus more. He prayed more than all of us, spoke in tongues and won many to Christ but he still felt the, need to know God more.
What an amazing desire. We all have received Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour. We know a lot about him but how many of us and actually say we know him. Knowing him is being intimate with him, in prayer and in the word of God. The Holy Spirit reveals the Father to us as we desire and thirst after him in our daily lives. Knowing God in a deeper way, gives you access to him. You get to know things about yourself and also the situations you face in your life. Knowing God seems to give you insider information and revelation of things to come. You are given discernment and understanding of people and things. What a privilege and honour.
I pray that you would give yourself the time to know God more. Knowing him more, is really investing in yourself and your future.
