Transformation by the Spirit

“And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit”
If there was anyone who could really speak about the transformation of a life by the Spirit of God, would be the Apostle Paul. He came from the Sanhedrin with letters which gave him permission to imprison all the believers of Jesus and on the way, he had an experience with God, taking him from darkness into his marvelous light. He was completely changed. His life went from being a Zealot (a man who passionately proclaimed the Law) to a man who was filled with the spirit of God and then witnessing to others about the gospel of grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. His entire personality was changed. He spoke with arrogance as he was a well-respected leader in the temple, however as he encountered the Holy Spirit, day by day, he was changed and transformed. The arrogance left and compassion filled his life. Where he spoke roughly with people, he began to teach people the love of God as the love of God began to permeate his very being. Paul came in as Saul, the pursuer and aggressor, he was changed from Saul to Paul, a pursuer of God’s people, a builder and teacher in the hand of God, daily building the church of God. What a transformation from this great and mighty God.
We too, family of God need to allow the Holy Spirit to come in and change us. We need to allow him to come in and transform our lives. We need to lay down strife, anger, division and discord and we need to pick up kindness and allow the love of God to permeate our lives.
The Holy Spirit must be allowed to saturate us with every good gift from our Father so we can become people who people choose to have a relationship with. In this transformation, God will use us as door openers, solution finders and a complete blessing to everyone we come in contact with. We are soul winners’, we are the light of our world. We carry the spirit of wisdom this world need. In our mouth is the words that can build and repair the lives of people. We are the comfort the world needs in the time of crisis and chaos. We bring peace where there is anxiousness. We feed faith where doubt has caused people to feel helpless. We let people know our God is able. He will never let us down. No, He will never fail. Our God is well able. Let the spirit of God work in you, so you become the investment this world needs and you will profit the lives God sends to you.
