The Shield Against Doubt
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read
“In every battle, take faith as your wrap-around shield, for it is able to extinguish the blazing arrows coming at you from the Evil One”
Doubt is a fiery arrow designed to stop the thriving journey.
The shield of faith extinguishes every dart of the enemy and of the self-doubt.
Protect your vision by strengthening your shield daily.
The shield of Faith is a vital weapon in the heart and mind of the believer. One of the greatest attacks on your faith is when you are diagnosed with an illness. The evidence of the sickness is there, the symptoms are undeniable and the doctors report only reinforces what you already know. These are all facts that bring on waves of doubt in your heart and messes with your mind. The reading of the report through your eye gates begins to manifest a picture in your mind and the voice of the enemy tries to tell you that this is real and you may die. The warfare in your mind intensifies and causes you to drop your shield of faith causing you to become weaker in your faith. This is the point where the thriver stands strong. The thriver lifts up the shield of faith and repels the fiery darts/arrows of the evil one. The thoughts come flooding at the thriver, but the investment into their lives with the word of God causes them to know what it is the thriver has to do.
The thriver understands that the shield of faith wraps itself around the thriver and the thriver allows the shield of faith to extinguish every fiery dart of the enemy and any self-doubt that may present itself. The thriver invests their time in strengthening their shield of faith daily. How do they do this, they spend time in the presence of God, they spend time in the word of God and ensure they find themselves in the house of God to build their faith. The thriver understands that faith comes by hearing and hearing of the word of God.
So, Thrivers, put on your shield of faith so you can quench the fiery darts of the enemy.
Dear Lord, wrap my heart with the shield of faith so I am able to withstand the attacks of the devil. The shield of faith is part of the blessing on my life. I live in the blessing which makes rich and adds no sorrow with it.
