Faith That Works
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“So too, faith, if it does not have works [to back it up], is by itself dead [inoperative and ineffective].”
Dead faith believes but takes no action; living faith always has a corresponding work.
Thriving requires faith-fueled action—committing your work by faith.
What concrete action does your faith demand of you today?
Abraham is known as the Father of Faith. The reason for him being called the father of faith is because of his obedience to God. God spoke to Abraham, who was a moon worshipper at the time, God told him to leave his country, his home and his family and go to a country whose builder and maker was God. Abraham listened and obeyed, took his wife and his nephew and set off, with only God as His guide. That took faith. He experienced many things along the way and he never let anything or anyone stop him. His faith was living and active. His actions were the reflection of his faith. Living faith always has a corresponding work of action.
A thriver has a faith-fueled-action life. A thriver lives by faith and puts their faith in to action. Always believing and trusting God in every situation in their life.
Yes, we need to feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill our thoughts with heavenly realities, and not with the distractions of the natural realm.
You have been crucified with Christ and our earthly life has been severed, and now your true life is hidden away in God in Christ. You live by the faith of the son of God. We are more blessed than Abraham in that we have the faith of Christ.
Do not be distracted, stay in faith daily and look to Jesus the author and finisher of your faith. You will overcome.
