Meditation in the Word

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful”
When you read your bible, you gain knowledge and understanding of the people in the bible and the things they went through. Some time it is just a story that you can relate to or it is knowledge we gain like one of our study guides we had at school. This knowledge does not change you in any way. It is just knowledge that you gain. The meditation that this scripture is talking about is, studying the word. Let the spirit of God bring life into the word you are reading so it becomes a part of your life. It ignites life into your spirit and changes you from inside out. This letter of the word does not kill but gives you life. It brings new wine and oil into your life, lubricating your life for success, victory and overflow.
The meditation of the word of God invites the presence of God and takes your faith from weak faith to strong faith. The word begins to wash you and changes your thinking. The word is like a hammer that knocks away the thoughts that do not come from God. There is transformation that takes place through this meditation. You do not even realise this process is taking place in your life till you face various situations in your life during your week and then even you notice you have changed. That is absolutely amazing when you yourself are amazed that you have changed and all because the spirit of God was working in your though the word that you have been digesting throughout your week.
Give time to the word of God in your life. The word of God is the best medicine for Depression and sickness. It is a subtle change that takes place and removes everything that is not of God in your life. The word is waiting on you, it is exploding with power that can change you from the inside out.
