Hearing God’s Voice

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”
John 10v27

The Thriver knows the Shepherd’s voice amidst the noise of the world.

Distinguish the voice of survival (fear) from the voice of Abundance (faith).

Obedience begins when you clearly hear the Word for your life.

Jesus says, my sheep, hear my voice. We were told on Sunday (12/01/26) by Pastor Wes, quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger. When we listen to the voice of our Lord and Saviour Jesus, we can be guaranteed victory in every area of our lives. He gives clear direction and also guidance whilst you are walking. How do we know this voice of Jesus. We learn this voice from listening to the word of God, by reading the word of God and also by finding ourselves in the house of God, where the word is taught and faith is increased. As we get to know this voice, we learn to be peaceful. No matter the chaos and the noise in our world, we, the thrivers know the voice of our Shepherd and we remain calm and at rest.

We can distinguish between the voice of fear and survival and the voice of abundance and faith. We must ask the Holy spirit to keep us in a position to hear the voice of our good shepherd. There will be many voices in this life. Constantly there will be a barrage of words coming at us but we have a choice of who we will listen to. What voice you give importance to, is who you will listen to.

Take the time to get to know the voice of the Shepherd, so you are able to make quality decisions that will make you the thriver you have called to be. It is an honour and a privilege to hear the voice of the Good Shepherd.

Holy Spirit help me remove the clutter from my life so I am able to hear the voice of the good Shepherd on a daily basis. On this journey of Thriving you have called me to, I cannot afford not to be in tune with the voice of the Good Shepherd.
