Seek Counsel in your Decision Making

When you have a big decision you have to make. Please do not sit alone trying to work it out. Seek men and women of wisdom who have experience and live a successful life. Present your plan to them. Listen to what they have to say and weigh it against what your thoughts were regarding the matter. Then sit down with your family and make your decision.

In the above scripture it is recommended that you seek out counsel from men. I would like to encourage you to first present the matter to God and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you. Then go to men and women that you trust. Their counsel normally is a confirmation of what the Holy Spirit has already told you. You can then feel relaxed that you have made an informed decision which will help you in your future.

This is no guarantee that you will not make a mistake, but at least you tried. God will work out even the worst for your good. It just takes a little time to get you out of the detour.
