Commitment is the Key

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 3 min read

“Commit your works to the LORD, And your thoughts will be established.”
Proverbs 16:3

Commitment is the guarantee that your plans will be established (kûn).

Give God the ownership of your project, not just a stake.

A partial commitment yields partial success; go all-in.

We are great planners. We know what it is we want and we even have an idea as to how we will bring this plan to pass. We can even work out the ways and time that it will take us to fulfil the plan. We run full speed ahead to get the plan fulfilled. However when the plan does not come to pass in the time and the way we want it to, or rather when we hit a wall regarding the plan, then only do we consult our heavenly Father. We then realise that we cannot establish and bring the plan to pass with our own strength. It is God who is in charge of our lives and brings His plan and His purposes to pass in our lives. He wants to be consulted. He wants you to commit your plans to him. He acknowledges the fact that you are able to plan and execute the plan, however He alone knows the end from the beginning so He needs you to commit this plan to him. He will execute effectively and timeously.

Family of God trust in the Lord, believe that He is able to bring His plans to pass in your life. He will align your plans to his will. He knows how this plan will affect you in ways you would never even imagine. We do not know all things, but He does. He knows the consequences of bad decisions and poor planning so he gets involved to assist you to see things through His eyes. Give the Father ownership of the project and not just a stake in the plan. If you only commit a portion of the plan, it will not yield you the success you were looking for.

The evidence of His successful plans are there for all to see. Look at the heavens and the earth and the beautiful way in which he created things. It is in operation from the day of creation until now. If he is such a great planner and puts things in its perfect place, the same characteristics are in you. You too are a great planner because you have your Father’s characteristics. Why work and strive on your own when you can get super natural help and ability from a father who knows all things and never fails. The outcome and success of your plan will be something that will be exceedingly and abundantly wonderful in the name of Jesus. He is well able.
