Finishing the Race

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 3 min read

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
2 Timothy 4:7

The Thriver is defined not by how they start, but by how they finish.

Perseverance is the necessary bridge between vision and manifestation.

Re-commit to the disciplines required for your thriving vision.

We are still fighting and our race is far from over. We need all the help we can get. We need the God kind of help that is sustainable and effective. We have been given a measure of Faith and each day as we fellowship with the Holy Spirit, He helps us and builds our faith. Faith works by love. Our faith and trust in God does not depend on our behaviour or our actions. It is a deliberate decision to involve our Father in everything we do.

We are on a journey but we are not alone, we have the name of Jesus, We have the holy Spirit who is our comforter and helper and we have power to declare and decree. We are not alone. So we need grace and power to fight this good fight of faith. Not everything in this journey is easy or pleasant, hence we have to fight the good fight of faith, with the arsenal given to us by the Holy Spirit. We fight with the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. How do I do this? I get the word actively in my heart and mind on a daily basis so that I can face every battle with wisdom and knowledge, knowing that we are able because God said so.

It is not how you start, it is how you handle your fight whilst fighting the adverse conditions in your walk.

Perseverance is the necessary bridge between vision and manifestation, pushing through, keep on keeping on, putting on the pressure to everything that is hindering you. Start to speak out what you believe and what you want to see. Keep the faith by allowing the Holy Spirit to build your faith daily when you spend time in His presence. This journey is a long journey and the word says, many are the afflictions of the righteous, but God delivers them from them all. So we are assured that God will bring us through and we are not alone. Do not let fear limit you in your journey. All things are possible to them that believe. If you can see it, you can have it.

There are obstacles to our vision and we have to be prepared for them. Doubt, fear and insecurity seem to be the order of the day in our lives. Always remember what the word of God says, He says in Jeremiah that he knows the plans he has for us, plans for good and not for evil. These plans have an expected end. He never leaves us so we need never fear. We must continue fighting the good fight of faith so we finish our race well. The Holy Spirit is our helper so he will ensure that we keep the faith and grow in faith continually.
