Evil Thoughts

“But whatever [word] comes out of the mouth comes from the heart, and this is what defiles and dishonors the man. For out of the heart come evil thoughts and plans, murders, adulteries, sexual immoralities, thefts, false testimonies, slanders (verbal abuse, irreverent speech, blaspheming).”
When we come to the altar of Salvation, every one of us has an un-pure heart full of evil. Perhaps most of us do not have the thoughts of murder etc. however there are other evil things that are lurking in our hearts. At this point, we need to recognize and accept the fact that Jesus died for our sins and washed us clean, as white as snow. He presented his blood at the mercy seat for us so everything that we would ever need has been dealt with. We are sin free. We are justified. We are his beloved, we are accepted and loved by God. As we allow his word and his presence fill our hearts, there is even a cleansing that takes place in our thought life. We begin to get thoughts of plenteousness. Love begins to shape our thoughts. Every trace of the old life is removed and we are aligned and in sync with our original design.
Family of God, allow the Holy Spirit to renew your heart daily and give you the attitude of a thriver. I see you thriving even in your heart so there is an overflow of evidence in your everyday life.
