Led by the Spirit of God

“But an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Get up and go south to the road that runs from Jerusalem down to Gaza.” (This is a desert road). So he got up and went; and there was an Ethiopian eunuch [a man of great authority], a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasure.”
There is so much power in following the Holy Spirit when he leads you and guides you in your daily walk. As you spend time in the word of God and drink of his presence each and every day, the Holy Spirit fills your life to overflowing. You get used to hearing his voice, whether it is through the word you have just read in your bible or when you are just sitting and praying. There is a distinct voice that urges you or what others would say, there is an impression on your heart. You know that you know, you have to do what God is saying. You then go out and do it and you witness the success of what God has told you. You do not always get it right. There are times you go ahead of time and you miss it, but this does not mean you have to give up listening to the voice of God. Keep on keeping on, as you fellowship with the Lord, you get to know his voice more clearly.
In the above scripture Philip was one of the 7 men selected to serve at tables. He was filled with the Holy Spirit and power. He laid hands on the sick and they were healed. In this case he was told to go and minister to the Ethiopian eunuch. He was about his business of the day, when he heard the voice of the spirit of God telling him to go and attach himself to the Eunuch. This was the mission for him at that specific time. The Eunuch was touched and baptized, all in one day.
Family of God, we need to stay connected to the Holy Spirit so we know what to do at a specific time. We need to bring forth our fruit in its season and lives will be changed and touched.
