The Word is Quick and Powerful

The word of God in the heart of a man or woman, brings about a shift, a change of mind and a reassessment of their thinking processes. I cannot stress enough the value of the word of God in the life of a believer. It is a manual to live right. It is a revelation of what Jesus did for us when he died on the cross. It is a revelation of grace for every man and every woman.

When the word says it is quick, it means it can work immediately or over a period of time.

The power factor comes by the Holy Spirit. The word on its own is just like information sharing, gaining knowledge from a book. When you engage the Holy Spirit and ask him to help you understand the word as you read, you experience the “quick and powerful” and the transformation that comes with it.

The word never leaves you the same. It becomes the building blocks of your life. Wisdom is imparted by the entrance of the word into your life. It creates a capacity in your life to understand things you could never understand before. It increases your intelligence and gives you the mind of Christ. It improves your skill levels and just causes you to be sharper.

It does however question your motives for wanting something. It causes you to reflect on yourself and why you are the way you are. It matures you and causes you to be less emotional. I love the change the word has been to my life. Give the word a chance it will change your heart forever.
